Today was the day ~ I raced for the CURE in my second 5K. Holy cow was there a lot of people down there. It was in downtown Toledo and had a turnout of 4,000 participants (not including everyone there to cheer us on). I didn't do nearly as well as I did in my first 5K with my running buddy but it was for a great cause and there was a REALLY big hill ;) My time was 30.09 which put me #68 out of 198 girls in my age bracket.
I've now established that I am addicted to running.....I already have the forms to run in another 5K next weekend to support Springfield schools, a 10K the middle of October to keep kids off of drugs and a 10 MILE (I think I'm CRAZY) on November 5th to support finding a cure for Brain Tumors.
On a side, sad note.....Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer???
